Rutgers to Support Statewide Contact Tracing Program

Rutgers University has partnered with the State of New Jersey to launch the Community Contact Tracing Corps Program, a key step toward slowing the community spread of COVID-19 as the state begins to ease its social distancing guidelines. The program is being led by the Rutgers School of Public Health. The Rutgers School of Public Health, which is part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to prepare a diverse contact tracing workforce that will initially include students studying public health, social work and related fields at Rutgers and other schools across the state. With training tools developed by Rutgers, the state is seeking to train 1,000 contact tracers and possibly more depending on the progression of the pandemic. To read the full story.
