The Pew Charitable Trusts announced in June that John Brooks, an assistant professor of molecular biology at Princeton University, is one of 22 new Pew Scholars in the Biomedical Sciences. He and the other Pew scholars will receive four years of funding to spearhead innovative studies exploring human health and medicine.
Brooks will continue his explorations of how our circadian rhythm, the internal clock that regulates the human body in tandem with the time of day, works with the immune system to maintain harmony with the gut microbiome.
